Light Microscopy Australia (LMA) is a special interest group of the Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Society (AMMS).

We are a national organisation holding meetings, workshops, seminars or key note lecture programs independently or in conjunction with our parent organisation, AMMS. Our members are notified of meetings, activities and microscopy information. Our objective is the advancement of the science and techniques of light microscopy including:

• Specimen preparation

• Image formation

• Image analysis and recording

• Photography and equipment care / selection etc

Applications include Biology, Pathology, IVF, Ecology, Electronics, Metallurgy / Materials, Chemistry, Teaching or other sciences.
