Core Elements of the 20th ACMM and IUMAS-IV

There are four basic elements to our Conference. Each can be attended as a discrete event.

These elements have been designed to provide delegates with the maximum benefit from travelling to the world's most (geographically) isolated capital city

7th - 8th February Pre-conference Short Courses

  • 2 day courses that provide attendees with an understanding of the fundamental operation of the relevant instrumentation, sample limitations and preparation needs, and the types of information outcomes.
  • presented by internationally qualified instructors
  • will, in most cases, include small group practical experiences on-site or through remote microscopy
  • will be held at microscopy centres in the Perth region

9th - 10th February Pre-conference Workshops

  • half or full day events led by international experts
  • will follow an informal structure allowing for extensive discussion
  • will vary from instructive hands-on limited number workshops to 'dry' forum style events
  • will be held at microscopy centres in the Perth region

10th - 15th February 20th ACMM & IUMAS-IV Meeting

16th - 17th February Post-conference Satellite Workshops

  • are highly specialised topical workshops
  • will be held at a range of venues
  • workshop styles will be self-determined

Please note

All of these elements are subject to change and demand.

Places in all Short Courses and Pre- and Post- Conference Workshops are limited
